Spartak Dulich belongs to
the generation of artists who emerged in the nineties, at the time when
multi-media art became a mainstream form; to which converged a multitude of
artistic disciplines and procedures of post-conceptual art practice.
Although he had an academic education, his early work focused on the
art of installation and performance. His experiments with
sound and text, as well as aesthetics of comics and street graffiti,
made him a true representative of a generation which considered
avant-garde the self-evident strategy of connecting academic and popular
cultures, and who practiced it spontaneously. Conceptual, material and
technical aspects of this extensive creative discourse, Dulich most
distinctively unites in the painting segment of his oeuvre.
Dulich
is one of the most versatile artists of Vojvodina, and his artistic
practiceincludes painting, performance, installation and sound
works. The colours of Dulich‘s paintings are intense, but his painting
method is what distinguished him the most. His paintings are a unique
blend of the tradition of organic abstraction and abstract expressionism
with aesthetics and methods of contemporary urban mural painting.

FROM THE PRESS :
Playing about with
formally abstract elements and organic forms he varies microstructures,
unreachable to the eye, in over dimensioned relations that consequently
loose connection with the real world and, on the line of surrealistic
thinking, intrude into the sphere of fantasy. Author deliberately
emphasizes the impression of restlessness and irrational chaos by
systematic and precise reproduction and networking of motives in which
the organic, seemingly independent, follows its consequent path. (Busacca)

mural painting. (Vecernji List)
Determined by formal and media innovations, which emerged as results of
scientific and technological progress, the contemporary art practice is
partly evaluated and legitimated by the artist’s intention to, while
creating new forms of communication, expose new forms of dissolving of
the already existing frames. (Sedition)
